LaVine has been under this mark in 6 of 8 this season and doesn't find himself in an amazing matchup. The Knicks rank 14th in assists allowed per game are are also middle-of-the-pack in assists allowed to SG's. So why am I looking at this? Well, again the underlying numbers tell a bit of a different story and with books adjusting to trends, there looks to be value on this over. Firstly, out of the 8 games he's played, he has 3+ assists in 6 of them. So, although falling under four times, he's flirted with cashing the over. Here are the potential assists leaders per game for the Bulls over the last 4 games and their assists line (in parentheses): Zach LaVine: 12.5 (3.5) Josh Giddey: 11.3 (6.5) Coby White: 9.3 (4.5) Ayo Dosunmo: 6.5 (3.5) Nikola Vucevic: 5.8 (2.5) Wild right? So despite LaVine leading the team in potentials, he gets a 3.5 line (at plus money) compared to Giddey with a line at 6.5. Even Dosunmo has the same line with almost half the pAsts. Now, of course potentials can be noisy, but LaVine still has a sold 8.3 pAsts on the season per game, which is just shy of White (9.5/game). We just need to see some conversion on these.

KAT has been incredible this season for the Knicks averaging 24.5 points and 12.4 rebounds. This matchup against the Bulls and Vucevic is one I’m interested in. Last year KAT cooked them for 27 and 33 points but didn’t convert many rebounds (8 and 5). However, that was a dramatically different circumstance with Gobert alongside of him. His rebounding rate has skyrocketed this year in large part because of the way the Knicks are handling him being switched onto with Brunson in Pick and Rolls. He’s crashing HARD to optimize the size mismatch on that end. I’m grabbing over 35.5 PR here.
