Draymond Green and technical fouls go together like peanut butter and jelly.
The four-time NBA All-Star from the Golden State Warriors has led the league in technical fouls three times in his career and has been near the top in other seasons.
He already has one technical foul after the first game of the season.
"I got the timeout pretty quickly; I'm just making sure we kept him on the floor," Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said after the game. "We say it all the time. You can't have it all. You can't ask Draymond to play with this amazing passion, energy, and effort and then tell him, 'No.' You have to tone down the emotion; it is all part of the package. So it is up to us whether it is taking a timeout or just trying to calm him down, but there is a reason Draymond is who he is. He is a champion, one of the best competitors I have been around, and there will be a lot of technicals."
So how many could he get this season?
On his podcast, "The Draymond Green Show with Baron Davis," Green decided the over/under should be set at 10 technical fouls — maybe even eight.
Green had 10 technical fouls during the 2023-24 season in which he played in 55 games. In every season going back to the 2017-18 season, he has had 14 or more technical fouls.
Would you take the over or the under on 10 technical fouls this season for Green?
