Monday Night Football features two games this week, and our PRO Systems have something juicy cooked up for our first battle between the Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings.
After a strong 4-2 start to the season, the Bears seemed like they had everything figured out —until they didn't. Since their Week 7 bye, the Bears have lost seven straight, including an overtime loss to this week's opponent, Minnesota.
The Vikings, wielding an 11-2 record, are second in a stacked NFC North. They've won six straight and are fresh off a 42-21 victory against Atlanta.
Kickoff is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on ABC. Let's check out a pick from our proprietary betting models.
Bears vs. Vikings Pick 12/16
Our PRO Systems have singled out a team to fade in tonight's MNF duel.
Our 'Fade Covering Teams' model has succeeded at a 55.8% rate, showing the perfect spot to bet against certain teams.
In Week 5 and beyond, teams covering the spread by more than 5 ppg, versus teams with 0-60% win percentages, only cover 44.2% of the time —that's bad news for the Vikings, who fit the model as the team to fade.
The Vikings have been one of the more popular fades for this model and they are listed as 7-point favorites in most books. Based on the trends, PRO Systems suggests targeting the Bears ATS for Monday night's game.
