Since the dawn of gambling, the dream has been to turn a tiny amount of money into a lot. Lotteries, slot machines, etc. — they all offer the same appeal. Since the legalization of online sports betting, we can add same-game parlays to that list. So, we have Seahawks vs. Bears parlay picks for Thursday Night Football.

Seahawks vs. Bears Parlay

  • Seahawks Moneyline (-188)
  • Geno Smith Under 250.5 Passing Yards (-113)
  • Tyler Lockett Over 15.5 Receiving Yards (-113)
  • Rome Odunze Over 44.5 Receiving Yards (-113)

NFL parlays aren't the smartest bets — I'll be the first to tell you that. Given the complex correlations among the legs, fair odds are nearly impossible to calculate. However, parlays are fun. Much like lottery tickets, it's nice to dream every once in a while.

You could make some "sensible" SGPs with alternate legs and try to cash a +200 ticket, but that's not what this article is about. Inspired by my colleague Gilles Gallant's "180 Challenge," which has already hit twice this season, we're looking for bigger payouts.

Of course, with primetime games on multiple days every week, we'll need a winner each day of the week, but we'll also have more chances to bring it home. Without further ado, here's what I'm targeting for my Seahawks vs. Bears Thursday Night Football parlay for Week 17 on FanDuel.

Seahawks Moneyline (-188)

I'd be fine taking the Seahawks spread of -3.5 if need be, but I'm more comfortable paying the extra juice to take Seattle to win straight up.

Since the spread moved past the key number of three, it's hard to trust the Seahawks to put this game away and win by a comfortable margin. They should find a way, especially considering how poorly the Bears have handled late-game situations this season.

Last week, the Bears looked like they gave up against the Lions. Now they have a short week to prepare for a Seattle team that still has a ton to play for.

Teams have typically performed even worse after playing the physical Lions this season, which is another strike against Chicago.

Either way, this is a fairly "safe" starting point, and FanDuel has the best odds in the market at -188.

Geno Smith Under 250.5 Passing Yards (-113)

Our NFL Props Tool has Smith projected for 231.5 passing yards this week against the Bears.

Smith typically has gone over this number only in losses or close/come-from-behind wins. We're not expecting that to be the case against the Bears, whom Seattle should control fairly easily.

Plus, Chicago ranks 30th in DVOA against the run, so the Seahawks should have no problem controlling the game without relying on heavy volume from Smith.

Tyler Lockett Over 15.5 Receiving Yards (-113)

This season, Lockett has fallen down the pecking order to the No. 3 option in the Seattle passing attack, behind DK Metcalf and Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

However, this is still an absurdly low line. Lockett has exceeded this mark in six of the last seven Seahawks games and 12 of 15 overall.

We're also boosting the parlay odds by pairing this with the under on Smith's passing due to the negative correlation. With how low the line is for Lockett, it's still fairly easy for him to go over without Smith coming along with him.

Rome Odunze Over 44.5 Receiving Yards (-113)

Chicago doesn't have much left to play for other than the future.

With that in mind, it makes sense to develop the connection between first-round rookies Caleb Williams and Rome Odunze, who Chicago hopes will be a productive duo for years to come.

On top of that, the likely negative game script for the Bears should lead to an elevated pass rate in general, as we've seen in most of their recent losses.

The top three Bears wideouts all have roughly similar target shares this year, but Odunze has seen the most air yards by far. That means he could clear this line on just a couple of receptions, as he's averaging over 19 yards per catch in each of the last two weeks.

All told, this brings the parlay north of +1000 odds on FanDuel.
