"Streaming" quarterbacks, defenses and kickers has been a fantasy football strategy I've successfully used for years.
I've parlayed that success into a series of weekly recommendations for the top streaming options at those three positions, as well as tight end, which can be of assistance in a pinch.
The concept behind streaming is that you add someone for a given week based on the matchup, rather than putting the emphasis behind a player's long-term projection.
I’m only highlighting players who are available in at least 40% of Yahoo! leagues. Please refer to my player rankings based on your league settings to see who is the best available player in your league.
Note: The optimal strategy for streamers is to add the player I have ranked the highest that is available in your specific league. I have no way of knowing who is the best option for your league, so I’m just highlighting the player I have ranked the highest that is available in more than 40% of leagues.
Use my rankings to see if there's a player who's available in your league and ranked higher than those mentioned below.
Murray is avail in 41% of leagues and could be making his season debut this week.
If he’s the top available option on your wire at quarterback, he’s worth a stream this week as he carries QB1 upside potentially for the rest of the season.
Murray is far from a slam dunk since his rushing upside may be limited this year as he is coming off a significant knee injury, but we should have a better idea of his rest-of-season value this week against the Falcons.
Hopefully, you were able to snag one of the four tight ends I highlighted a couple of weeks ago on a historic week for streaming TEs and are just looking for a bye-week fill-in for Travis Kelce or Dallas Goedert.
Smith is the top-ranked option that is available in 40%+ of leagues. His underlying usage supports a high-end TE2.
Right now I’m projecting WR Drake London to return but if he’s held out again, Smith’s rank will only go up.

Seattle has the fourth-highest team total of the week against the Commanders. That means Myers should see plenty of scoring opportunities.
Raiders don’t have a great defense, which is why they are available in 50%+ of leagues, but they have a great matchup this week against Zach Wilson.
The Jets have the sixth-lowest team total of the week. As always defensive scoring in fantasy has a ton of variance, so the actual results tend to be much tougher to predict. The Raiders project well, though, in the more stable metrics for a fantasy defense this week.
I have the Raiders opening the week inside my top 10 and consider them to be a decent streaming option this week.
