We get a matchup between the Halifax Thunderbirds and New York Riptide to wrap up NLL Week 12. Halifax hosts the Riptide and the Thunderbirds enter as 1.5-point favorites.
Halifax has a top five-ranked offense and is averaging 13.8 goals per game. New York’s offense has been one of its few bright spots as it is averaging 11.75 goals per game. The Thunderbirds have gone over 24.5 goals in six of nine games, while New York has gone over this mark in six of eight games.
Additionally, both goaltenders have been streaky this season, with Warren Hill stopping 77% of shots and Steve Orleman saving 73%. Both teams love to push the ball in transition and have struggled to stop fast-break opportunities. While this total is relatively high, it’s high for a reason given these teams. Bet this total to go over 24.5 (-115 on BetMGM).
Additionally, I Connor Kearnan's points total to go over. Kearnan’s total is set at 4.5, and while that may seem high, it hasn’t been for Kearnan. Since fellow forwards Callum Crawford and Jake Fox were traded, Kearnan has gone over this mark in all four games. Now, with forward Brett Hickey being placed on IR, Kearnan should be relied on even more in this matchup. Bet Kearnan to go over 4.5 points (+136 on FanDuel).
Picks: Over 24.5, Connor Kearnan Over 4.5 Points
