I promise to spare you the, "If you build it, they will come jokes."

Wait, does mentioning that line, even in that context, negate sparing of the joke altogether?

My mind works in weird ways.

Terrible jokes aside, tonight's Field of Dreams Game between the New York Yankees and Chicago White Sox should draw plenty of eyeballs, and with extra eyeballs often comes recreational betting action.

And according to our MLB public betting data, the majority of bettors are all over one side of tonight's Field of Dreams Game, while smart money is steadily flowing in the opposite direction.

Using our MLB PRO Report, let's break down how the public (and the pros) are betting Thursday night's Field of Dreams Game.

Field of Dreams Game Pick

Sharp Action

The Yankees opened as +150 underdogs at DraftKings Sportsbook for tonight's game against Lance Lynn and the White Sox, a number that quickly spiked to +165 — and that's when sharp buyback hit the market.

Action Labs' Bet Signals are reporting two separate instances of wiseguy action hitting New York, which, in turn, has driven the Yankees moneyline down to +140.

Big Money

As I mentioned above, the White Sox have landed 71% of all moneyline bets, but those tickets account for just 51% of the money.

On the flip side, that means that New York has attracted basically half of the loot wagered on tonight's matchup, but has needed just 29% of the tickets to do so.

This is a tell-tale sign that the Yankees have attracted the bigger bets for Thursday's Field of Dreams Game.
