  • Saturday in the MLB means plenty of games throughout the day.
  • We see player prop value on two players Saturday: David Peralta of the Arizona Diamondbacks and Alex Wood of the San Francisco Giants.
  • Check out both of Doug Ziefel's top Saturday player props below.

Today, I've pinpointed two West Coast players who have favorable spots. First, we head to the Queens City, where the scuffling Reds are in line for another afternoon of generating wind at the plate.

Then, we'll cap the night off by fading one of the most consistent hitters on the Diamondbacks.

Our Action Labs Props Tool grades each prop on a scale from 1-10, and I'll be sure to include the grade for each of my betting recommendations in my discussions below.

Alex Wood Over/Under 4.5 Strikeouts (-160/+120)

Giants @ Reds
First Pitch4:10 p.m. ET
Best Line: Giants -170DraftKings

The Reds offense has been abysmal for the majority of the season thus far, and a significant factor in those offensive struggles is the number of strikeouts. Cincinnati enters this game seventh in the majors in strikeout rate and ranks seventh against lefties specifically.

Alex Wood will get his turn today against Cincinnati. The Giants left-hander has yet to replicate his success from last season, but one thing that has carried over is his punchout rate.

Wood has gone over this total in six of his eight starts, and he has yet to face a lineup that strikes out as much as the Reds do.

Pick: Over 4.5 Ks (-160)

David Peralta Over/Under 0.5 Hits (-195/+145)

Dodgers @ Diamondbacks
First Pitch7:15 p.m. ET
Best Line: Diamondbacks +155DraftKings

As divisional rivals, the Dodgers and the Diamondbacks get to see a lot of each other over the course of a season. These frequent meetings give us a great sample size for determining batter versus pitcher success.

Tony Gonsolin has not only fared well against the Diamondbacks in general but has dominated one man in particular.

David Peralta has not gotten off to the start that we're used to seeing out of him. He enters this matchup with a .226 batting average on the season, but his numbers against Gonsolin are even worse.

The two have squared off 17 times, and Peralta has mustered just two hits. Overall, he doesn't see the ball well from Gonsolin, as he has an average exit velocity of 86.6 MPH against him.

Gonsolin's arsenal is tailored to produce groundballs, whereas Peralta's tendency this season has been to hit the ball in the air, and he's done this at the highest rate of his career this season.

Gonsolin will force him to do the opposite, and he should have the upper hand again today.

Pick: Under 0.5 Hits (+145)

Action Labs Grade: 10/10
