Some big baseball bets have come into BetMGM sportsbooks with a 60-game regular season now in the offing.

BetMGM spokeswoman Elisa Richardson said the biggest bet was a $15,000 bet on the Los Angeles Dodgers to win the World Series placed at the Borgata in Atlantic City, which at +400 pays out $60,000.

The biggest single bets, as far as liabilities go, are two bets in particular. A $5,000 bet on the Tampa Bay Rays to win it all, placed in Nevada, that would pay out $150,000 and a $2,000 bet on the White Sox, bet at a BetMGM book in Mississippi, that would pay out $130,000.

As far as overall liabilities go, almost every sports book is heavy on the New York Yankees. PointsBet spokesman Patrick Eichner told The Action Network that the Yankees, No. 1 in bet count and handle, represent roughly 40% of the book’s liability.

At DraftKings, the Yankees — also at +400 odds — represent 49% of the handle and 37% of the total bets, according to spokesperson Stephen Miraglia. The next closest in terms of handle to the Yankees is the New York Mets, believe it or not, who at 22-1 are 10% of DraftKings’ total handle.
