5 Most Popular MLB Bets for Wednesday

*Odds and public betting trends data as of Wednesday afternoon. Find real-time MLB odds here.

1. Athletics (-130) vs. Orioles

6:07 p.m. ET

The Athletics might not be ready to contend this year, but bettors don't mind investing in Oakland against spotty competition, especially early in the season.

Such is the case Wednesday, as we've logged a gigantic 86% of the tickets on home team (you can check out all the public betting data here).

2. Mariners (-155) vs. Rangers

9:40 p.m. ET

The Mariners are another AL West favorite generating a lopsided ticket count after taking the first game of the set over the Rangers on Tuesday.

The Mariners are the only other club pulling in more than 80% of the wagers at the time of writing (84%).

3. Yankees (-160) vs. Tigers

6:40 p.m. ET

There's more chalk in the AL getting pounded by the public, this time in New York-Detroit.

The Yankees, coming off a 4-2 win over the Tigers on Tuesday, are catching 73% of the tickets.

4. Nationals -130 vs. Diamondbacks

7:05 p.m. ET

The 3-8 D'backs have already lost $100 bettors -$381 on the young season, so naturally, they aren't attracting much action versus the Nationals.

Washington is another popular side, pulling 72% of bets as a short favorite.

5. Twins (-125) vs. Royals

8:10 p.m. ET

The final favorite the public is on is Minnesota, which lost to Kansas City last night.

Seven of every 10 bets are on the Twins, who send out right-hander Chris Paddack.
