The UFC is back at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday for UFC 272.
Everybody is intrigued by the main event, featuring Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal. Both guys have recently been focused on taking down the welterweight champ Kamaru Usman. However, in the process, they've talked a lot of junk to each other and will now settle it inside the octagon.
The public is heavily backing the underdog Masvidal. He opened at +280 and is down to +260 at BetMGM. He's currently getting 87% of the tickets and 86% of the handle.
UFC legend Rafael Dos Anjos is competing in his first fight in well over a year in the co-main. event. He's the -185 favorite against Renato Moicano, who excepted the fight on short notice. Dos Anjos is getting 76% of the public bets and 86% of the money, according to BetMGM.
Bryce Mitchell vs. Edson Barboza is expected to be an exciting fight between an undefeated up-and-comer in Mitchell and the veteran in Barboza. It appears the smart money is on Mitchell as he's moved from a -150 favorite to -175 on BetMGM. He's currently getting 38% of the tickets and 57% of the handle.
Alex "Cowboy" Oliveira used to be one of the top fighters in the welterweight division, but his time has passed and it appears the sharps know that as well. Oliveira has gone from a +185 underdog to +280 against Kevin Holland. Oliveira is getting 60% of the public as the recognizable name but just 30% of the total handle.
Former NFL defensive lineman Greg Hardy (+185) likely will get his last chance in a pay-per-view fight as he takes on Sergey Spivak (-225) in a heavyweight bout. The public is backing the underdog Hardy as he's getting 76% of the tickets and 84% of the handle.
