Another Saturday means a UFC card, and this week there's a fight night event headlined by Jamahal Hill vs. Thiago Santos.
While UFC on ESPN 40 is not the most name-brand card (7 p.m., ESPN), there are some familiar faces that will feature outside of the main event, including welterweight contenders Vicente Luque and Geoff Neal.
With regard to the main event, bettors are targeting the underdog to secure an upset. 60% of the tickets and 50% of the overall handle at BetMGM are on Santos to beat Hill at a +260 price.
Despite the heavy money on him, Santos opened at +210 and has drifted to his current price.
In the bout between Luque and Neal, the odds movement has followed the money.
Luque has been pushed to -190 from an opening -175 price after 62% of the bets and 88% of the money poured in on him.
Mohammed Usman, a member of that Usman family, is a +230 underdog on the card against Zac Pauga, whose bout all serves as the heavyweight tournament final of The Ultimate Fighter 30.
Usman has gotten 72% of the betting tickets but just 20% of the money, indicating some bigger wagers have come in on Pauga.
The favorite opened at -240 but now sits at -300.
Elsewhere on the card, notable line movement includes Sergey Spivak going from -210 to -300 with 61% of the tickets and 74% of the money coming in on him as well as Priscilla Cachoeira becoming a bigger underdog despite tracking 60% of the tickets.
Saturday's main card is set to start at 10 p.m. ET, following prelims at 7 p.m. ET.
