While I do consider myself as somewhat of a NASCAR betting expert (pauses for laughter), I'm an extremely casual IndyCar bettor.
I enjoy watching IndyCar when I have the time, but it's certainly not a priority.
However, Sunday's motorsports schedule is a good one, starting with Formula 1's season opener at Bahrain (11 a.m. ET), IndyCar's XPEL 375 at Texas (12:30 p.m. ET) and NASCAR's Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 at Atlanta (3 p.m. ET).
And there's also that little NCAA Tournament going on throughout the day as well.
But thanks to the magic of multiple televisions and streaming, sports bettors can have it all with the combination of college basketball and motorsports showing side by side, which is exactly what I'll be doing this afternoon.
Scott Dixon, who has five career wins at Texas, including four victories in the last eight IndyCar events at the track, is the race favorite at +500, followed by Josef Newgarden (+600), Pato O'Ward (+700) and Colton Herta at +800 odds.
Pole sitter Felix Rosenqvist is available at +1400, while Jimmie Johnson, who won seven times at Texas in the NASCAR Cup Series, is +6600 ahead of his first IndyCar start on oval.
Below is a detailed look at the latest IndyCar at Texas odds ahead of Sunday's XPEL 375 at Texas.
