Following last weekend's race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, the NASCAR Cup Series visits a 1.5-mile track for the final time this season.
Sunday's Dixie Vodka 400 (2:30 p.m. ET, NBC) at Homestead-Miami Speedway should be an exciting one as the track's very abrasive surface causes significant tire wear, often resulting in very good racing with drivers and coming and going.
To pinpoint this week's top NASCAR featured matchup bet, I'm going to lean heavily on a two-day test held at Homestead last month that should help us determine the drivers to back in Sunday's race.
NASCAR Pick for Homestead
*Odds as of Wednesday morning
When teams unloaded to test at Homestead in September, Joey Logano was the class of the field.
Logano posted the second-fasted lap on the first day of testing before improving to the fastest overall lap on Day 2.
In addition, the driver of the No. 22 Ford has been very good at Homestead, posting one win and four top-five finishes over his last eight races at the track.
However, Logano's Team Penkse teammate Ryan Blaney has not fared so well, scoring just one top 10 in seven career Cup Series races at this circuit.
Logano was arguably the best performer at last month's two-day test and also has the vastly superior track history compared to his teammate, so pricing a matchup between these two drivers at -110 is too bullish on Blaney's chances this weekend.
While this line isn't obnoxious, there is still plenty of value in grabbing Logano at essentially a pick'em to finish ahead of Blaney in Sunday's Dixie Vodka 400 at Homestead.
The bet: Logano (-110) over Blaney at DraftKings
