As a NASCAR bettor, I love with races with significant tire falloff, and Richmond Raceway, which will host Sunday's Toyota Owners 400 (3:30 p.m. ET, FS1) certainly fits that bill.

When tires really wear out throughout a run, it allows the better cars to make passes and get to the front.

In addition, practice is more predictive at tracks like Richmond because we get to analyze which drivers have the least amount of fall-off – then attempt to get money down on those cars.

So when it comes to my biggest bets, especially on outrights, I'm holding off until Saturday morning's NASCAR Cup Series practice.

But if you're eager to lock in something early, you can do worse than the following top-10 bet a plus-money.

NASCAR Pick for Richmond

*Odds as of Wednesday

It's important to note that the NASCAR Cup Series is running a lower-downforce package at road courses and short tracks this season, which includes Richmond.

And because it's so early in the season, we've seen this package run only once at a shorter, flatter track, which occurred earlier this month at Phoenix Raceway.

In that race, Brad Keselowski's 18th-place finish masks what was otherwise a very impressive run.

Despite that result, just four drivers posted a better average running position than Keselowski, suggesting that the No. 6 Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing Ford was quite easily a top-10 car.

Therefore, snagging Kez at plus-money – +105 at FanDuel to be exact – for a top-10 finish is a solid way to invest in a car that should have plenty of speed on Sunday afternoon at Richmond.

Pick: Brad Keselowski (+105) for a top-10 finish
