No matter who tries to convince you they know what Selection Sunday will look like, no one really knows who's going to be in and who's going to be out of the NCAA Tournament.

Bracketology has elevated the pageantry of college basketball and March Madness. And now, we can legally bet on whether or not we think a team will make the NCAA Tournament.

Xavier spent a significant portion of its season ranked in the top 25 in the AP Poll. The Musketeers only lost one game in the non-conference portion of their schedule to Iowa State on a neutral court. They had wins over Ohio State, Oklahoma State and Virginia Tech.

Since then, Xavier's season has taken a turn for the worst. They proceeded to go 8-11 in the Big East, finishing sixth in the conference. That includes losing five of their last six regular-season games.

Then the conference tournament happened. The Musketeers lost 89-82 to Butler in the first round of the Big East Men's Basketball Tournament. Butler finished second-to-last in the conference.

Now, it's more likely than not that Xavier will be on the outside looking in on Selection Sunday. ESPN bracketologist Joe Lunardi currently has them as one of the "last four in" the NCAA Tournament.

On FanDuel, Xavier is +134 to make the tournament and -180 to not make the tournament.
