Each week on the BBOC YouTube channel, I make my picks for three of Saturday's marquee matchups in college football. Here are my picks for Oklahoma State vs. Kansas State, Louisville vs. Notre Dame, and Georgia vs. Alabama.
Kansas State (-4.5) vs. Oklahoma State
Oklahoma State is struggling right now to get Ollie Gordon involved and open up some running lanes for him. Obviously the play at the quarterback position was so shaky last week, they were having to make a switch throughout that game.
I think is is an Avery Johnson game and he'll be able to take off in the run game and make some plays with his arms and his legs and do just enough at home for Kansas State to win.
Pick: Kansas State -4.5
Louisville ML (+220) vs. Notre Dame
I think Tyler Shough and Brian Brohm are going to have this Louisville team ready to go. Notre Dame just hasn't looked good enough on the offensive side to really feel like they're a playoff team.
Yes, their defense is good, and yes, they have some key players back there. But offensively, I think this is too much of a struggle for their passing game, which has pretty much been non-existent for the first few weeks of the season. I like Louisville to go in there and get a big upset win.
Pick: Louisville +220
Alabama ML (+100) vs. Georgia
This is a really tough game and one I think is going to be an absolute battle of the trenches. Georgia didn't look great against Kentucky, obviously, but both teams are coming off idle weeks to prepare for this game.
I really like Jalen Milroe and the way that he's playing football right now and his ability to run the football and be a dual-threat guy. Alabama's downfield passing attack has been great.
They're going up against the best defense that they've seen all year in Georgia, but this game is going to come down to limiting turnovers and I think Alabama will get that cleaned up and it'll be a very close game, but one they'll ultimately eke out a win.
