Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders' Heisman Trophy odds improved slightly despite a loss to USC on Sunday afternoon.

That's on account of a 30-for-45 day with 371 passing yards, 50 yards on the ground, four passing touchdowns, a rushing TD and a pick against the No. 6 team in the country.

His odds at FanDuel after the game improved from +25000 to +20000. A $100 bet would earn $20,000, for reference. He's an absolute longshot — Deion Sanders' son is tied for 33rd on the leaderboard.

Meanwhile, two-way superstar Travis Hunter is completely off the board after missing the last two games with a lacerated liver. Hunter had shot up the leaderboards amid the Colorado hype from earlier this month but isn't in the conversation anymore after his absences. Only three wide receivers or cornerbacks have won the Heisman over the last 25 years: Michigan wide receiver Desmond Howard, Michigan cornerback Charles Woodson and Alabama wide receiver DeVonta Smith during a COVID season.

The favorite in the marketplace? The Buffaloes' opponent on Sunday afternoon, USC quarterback Caleb Williams. His odds of +180 are a good distance ahead of the second-best favorite, Washington quarterback Michael Penix Jr., who is priced at +350 as of Saturday afternoon.

Both of those players are the only ones listed at better than +900 odds, which implies a probability of 10%.

Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers (+900) and Oregon quarterback Bo Nix (+1200) round out the rest of the most likely candidates.

Williams is looking to be the only player besides Ohio State running back Archie Griffin to win back-to-back Heisman trophies.
