That sound you heard from coast-to-coast was Derrick Henry backers celebrating after the newest Raven found paydirt on the first drive of the game.

The public loves the touchdown market so much that over 25% of all bets placed on the game at BetMGM revolve around them. Not only that but there were more bets on tonight’s first touchdown scorer than there were placed on the total.

A sizeable portion of those bets revolved around Henry as he was far and away the most popular pick for both an anytime touchdown and first touchdown scorer.  The newest Ravens was -105 to score at any point in the game and was +550 to score the first touchdown. Not only that, but a Henry first TD was the single most popular prop bet of the night.  Those who took it got to celebrate an early double-dip to kick off the season.

It shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that the public was all over Henry as no player made bettors more money in the anytime touchdown market than a year ago according to DraftKings. He had at least one TD in nine games and had three multi-touchdown performances as he found the end zone 12 times on the year.

Henry’s season-long rushing touchdown prop is off to a swimming start, as well. It sits at 10.5 and the public hammered it with 84% of bets on the over at BetMGM.  He’s the most popular player to go over his rushing TD prop heading into the season.
