While many are going to watch Chiefs vs. Jets on Sunday Night Football for Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, I'm going to get creative with a kicker prop.
Enter: Harrison Butker.
For him to achieve over 7.5 kicking points, the most optimal way would be at least two field goals and two extra points.
Here are some strong trends for taking his over against the Jets.
For multiple field goals:
- The Jets finished No. 4 in the NFL in red-zone defense last season, allowing opponents to score touchdowns only 47.8% of the time. That trend has carried over into 2023 (37.5%).
- New York is allowing a league-high average of 3.3 field goals made to opponents — three straight kickers have attempted at least three field goals against them.
- Strong trend history with winning kickers vs. the Jets. Ten of the last 12 kickers to play them had two-plus field goals made and over 7.5 kicking points.
For multiple extra points:
- The Chiefs are elite at moving the ball down the field and converting scoring chances into touchdowns.
- Butker has at least two extra points made in 18 of the last 20 games.
- His prop is currently set at 3.5 extra points made.
