One of the more interesting betting lines in Week 16 of the NFL comes between the Indianapolis Colts and Arizona Cardinals.
It's not necessarily the spread itself that is interesting; it's the line movement and variety of numbers currently available.
There are currently four different spreads available on the game, which opened with the Cardinals listed as a 2-point favorite at DraftKings. That number has since moved down and varies across the board.
Betting Odds for Colts at Cardinals
Sportsbook | Odds |
---|---|
Circa | Colts -1 |
BetRivers | Colts +0.5 |
DraftKings | Colts +1 |
BetMGM | Colts +1 |
PointsBet | Colts +1 |
FanDuel | Colts +1.5 |
Interestingly, Circa has the Colts as the favorite while the rest of the market is still slightly favoring Arizona. The Colts +2 were a best bet earlier this week here.
It's natural that the public is down on Arizona. The Cardinals are coming off a blowout loss to the Detroit Lions as a double-digit favorite. It's the second consecutive loss for the Cardinals, who also dropped a 30-23 decision to the Rams.
Bettors may be following a trend of fading head coach Kliff Kingsbury, who is 4-9 against the spread as a home favorite. A $100 bettor fading Kingsbury as a home favorite would be up $428 dollars.
Meanwhile, the Colts have won five of their last six games, having taken down the Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots during that stretch. Indianapolis is now just one game behind the Tennessee Titans for the top spot in the AFC South, although the Titans won both head-to-head matchups this season.
The Cardinals will be without DeAndre Hopkins, who is expected to miss the rest of the regular season with a knee injury. He did not play in the loss to the Lions.
