A spooky night is upon us in a matchup between the Bengals and the Browns, and running back Joe Mixon is what we call "due" to score a touchdown.

Statistically, the Sooners product has been the most inefficient in his opportunities in the red zone this season. Through the first seven weeks, Mixon ranks first in touches, accumulating 27 of them inside the red zone with an average of 3.9 per week.

Mixon has been able to convert a touchdown in just three of those 27 touches. Fortunately, those conversions have come in three of his last four games after not scoring until Week 4.

Typically with touchdown props, you have to worry about a backup running back "vulturing" a score. However, there's some comfort here in knowing that of the 31 backfield red-zone touches, Mixon has 27 (87%) while teammate Samaje Perine has four (13%).

Despite the loss of Ja'Marr Chase, I don't see that impacting the Bengals' offense too much. The Browns, who will be without lockdown CB Denzel Ward, currently allow the seventh-most opponent red-zone scores a game, according to Team Rankings.

The Browns have surrendered the third-most running back touchdowns (1.4) in the league. RBs have consistently scored in all weeks leading up to tonight, including a streak of two-plus touchdowns scorers (Austin Ekeler, Rhamondre Stevenson and Gus Edwards).

With all the being said, Mixon should get his chances around the goal line, making the potential reward enough to outweigh the risk.
