Week 6 week concludes with a Monday Night Football matchup between AFC West rivals — the Broncos and Chargers.
I have one play from each team. These players aren’t the flashiest of names and are more bargain guys who could surprise.
TE Donald Parham Jr., Chargers
Parham was eased into his first game of the season, operating as the Chargers' No. 3 tight end behind Gerald Everett and Tre’ McKitty against the Browns.
Parham figures to eventually re-take the TE2 role from McKitty, which could happen as soon as this week. Six of Parham’s 30 career catches (20%) have gone for TDs and 14 of his 48 career targets (29%) have come in the red zone.
TE Greg Dulcich, Broncos
Usually we don’t expect much from rookie tight ends, but the Broncos seem to have an anything goes policy at the position.
Andrew Beck was featured in each of the team’s first three passing plays of the year, while journeyman Eric Saubert entered the year with 18 catches in five seasons but became the team’s starting TE.
If active, Dulcich is a good bet to get a play or two drawn up for him. If not, I would pivot to Saubert, who is averaging a 70% route participation rate over the past two games.
