Thanksgiving is for the NFL. The 2019 Thanksgiving slate includes matchups between the Bears and Lions, Bills and Cowboys and Saints and Falcons.
With the entire Sunday slate of Week 12 games still yet to be played, sportsbooks have posted point spreads and over/unders for all three Thanksgiving matchups.
Here's a look at early lines for each of these games.
Thanksgiving NFL Odds
Bears vs. Lions Odds
- Spread: Lions -1.5
- Over/Under: 41.5
- Time: 12:30 p.m. ET
- TV channel: FOX
Despite the uncertainty regarding which quarterback will start for either team, oddsmakers have opened the Lions as short 1.5-point favorites against the Bears.
Obviously, these numbers could see adjustments depending on the statuses of both Matthew Stafford and Mitchell Trubisky.
Bills vs. Cowboys Odds
- Spread: Cowboys -7.5
- Over/Under: 45
- Time: 4:30 p.m. ET
- TV channel: CBS
It'll be interesting to monitor where this line reopens following Sunday's Week 12 results. Considering the Cowboys, the NFL's most popular team, have a monster matchup with the Patriots, the perception of Dallas — whether it wins or loses — could have a massive effect on the line against the Bills.
Think about it: if the Cowboys upset the Patriots, casual bettors will rush to the window to take them against the Bills on Thanksgiving, a day that attracts massive amounts of recreational action.
On the other hand, if Bill Belichick shuts down Dak Prescott and Co., it's reasonable to assume bettors will jump on Buffalo and the points considering the Bills' pass defense is one of the league's best.
Saints vs. Falcons Odds
- Spread: Saints -5.5
- Over/Under: 49.5
- Time: 8:20 p.m. ET
- TV channel: NBC
While the game won't have the playoff implications that schedule-makers probably hoped for prior to the start of the season, the revenge factor makes this a very interesting matchup.
The Falcons throttled the Saints, 26-9, as 14-point road underdogs in Week 10, dealing a blow to New Orleans' hopes of earning the top seed in the NFC.
The Saints still have a shot at the conference's No. 1 seed — or a first-round playoff bye at the very least — but they'll have to take care of business as 5.5-point favorites against the Falcons on Thanksgiving night.
