Saints star receiver Chris Olave exited Sunday’s contests against the Buccaneers after suffering a concussion in the first quarter.

Olave was injured on his only reception, a five-yard completion, when a Bucs defender made contact with Olave’s helmet.

The public was heavily backing Olave entering the weekend. His over 46.5 receiving yards (-130) prop was the fifth-most popular at BetMGM on Sunday. Olave had crossed the 46-yard threshold in three of New Orleans’ five games this season.

Instead, Olave exited after just three offensive plays. The Saints offense is already without starting quarterback Derek Carr and has reconfigured its offensive line to accommodate for key absences.

Tampa Bay star receiver Mike Evans also suffered an apparent injury during the second quarter and headed to the locker room, but returned later in the period.
