The first World Cup semifinal match takes place on Tuesday afternoon as Argentina and Croatia face off in a battle of the last two World Cup runners-up.
In 2014, it was Argentina who fell to Germany in extra time to miss out on hoisting the World Cup, and in 2018, Croatia was thoroughly outplayed by France in a 4-2 defeat.
Both teams have a chance to match those efforts this afternoon, as Lionel Messi seeks to claim the biggest and final trophy left for his collection.
Bettors are split on what the correct side to back is, but they are putting a significant amount of faith in the Little Magician.
According to BetMGM, 38% of the wagers and 51% of the handle on the three-way moneyline are on Argentina (-115) to secure a victory. Croatia has gotten 43% of the tickets and 34% of the handle at a hefty +360 price, and 19% of the tickets are on a draw (+225).
On the "to advance" line, Argentina account for 37% of the tickets at a -250 price while Croatia have gotten 63% of the tickets at +180.
In the prop market, it's understandable but notable that a Messi goal at +130 is the second-most bet prop.
Ahead of that wager is the "Both Teams to Score – Yes" prop, which is tracking a ton of love from bettors.
Argentina vs. Croatia will take place at 2 p.m. ET on FOX. You can check out all of the Action Network's extensive coverage of the fixture here.
