It wasn't easy, but Rafael Nadal overcame a big charge from Taylor Fritz as well as a seemingly brutal abdominal injury to reach the Wimbledon semifinals.

Nadal lost the first set to the American before keeling over in pain in the second set as he dealt with an injury that appeared may force him to retire from the match.

However, he snatched the second set without serving at full force and began to feel a bit better.

Though his service speeds were down, he didn't seem to be dealing with any impact on the rest of his game. Nadal went on to win the match in a fifth-set 10-point tiebreak.

While it may be difficult for oddsmakers to react to the match, as it's hard to determine where Nadal's fitness stands, the one thing that will remain certain is that Novak Djokovic is a heavy favorite to win the title.

The three-time reigning champion is now a consensus -380 favorite after opening the tournament at -130.

Nadal has been given +650 odds by FanDuel, just ahead of Nick Kyrgios, who is listed at +750. Britain's own Cam Norrie, who will square off with Djokovic in the semifinals, is listed at +3200.

Djokovic and Kyrgios will meet in the other semifinal.
