On Tuesday, the horse racing syndicate Team Valor announced that Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and the Zoldan family had "acquired a significant share" of a three-year-old gelding by the name of — wait for it — Swift Delivery.
Kelce's girlfriend, Taylor, shares a fleet-afoot name with the Mark Cases-trained horse, who has improved a great deal of late in winning his last two races and is set to make his stakes debut in the Toronto Cup at Woodbine on Aug. 31.
Not to be outdone, Taylor Swift will be performing a sextet of concerts at Toronto's Rogers Centre in November, the second-to-last stop on her world-conquering Eras Tour.
As for Kelce's business partners, Bruce Zoldan is the founder and CEO of Ohio-based Phantom Fireworks, which, according to Bloodhorse, is the largest pyrotechnic retailer in North America. Kelce, who hails from Ohio, attended the Kentucky Derby with the Zoldans and is close friends with Bruce's son, Alex.
In other Kelce news, it was announced Tuesday that Travis and his brother, the former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason, had signed a three-year, $100 million deal to have their New Heights podcast air on the streaming platform Wondery.
