The MLB weather report for Cleveland Guardians vs. New York Yankees ALDS Game 2 is not a pretty one on Thursday night.

The Yankees — who hold a 1-0 series lead against the Guardians following a 4-1 victory in Tuesday's ALDS Game 1 — are looking to take a commanding 2-0 advantage in the series, though they may have to wait a day.

According to live MLB odds, the Yankees are -140 favorites against the Guardians tonight, though the latest MLB weather report does not look promising.

With this in mind, let's examine the updated MLB weather forecast for Guardians vs. Yankees on Thursday night, including the chances that Game 2 is ultimately postponed due to rain.

MLB Weather Report for Guardians vs. Yankees

According to the National Weather Service, it could get ugly at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx tonight.

There's a 90% chance of rain around Yankee Stadium on Thursday night, including storms that could produce gusty wind and heavy rain.

Yikes.

Looking specifically at Guardians vs. Yankees, which has a scheduled first pitch of 7:37 p.m. ET, there's a very good chance rain will already be falling, and continue to fall, during this time period.

At 7 p.m. ET there's a 74% chance of rain, which then increases to 90% from 8 p.m. ET to 10 p.m. ET, before another bump to 94% from 10 p.m. ET through early Friday morning.

This alone suggests that, rain, in some capacity, will impact Guardians vs. Yankees on Thursday night, and should the forecast hold true, could very easily result in a postponement for ALDS Game 2.

And if the game is eventually played, pay attention to wind conditions. According to our PRO systems, when the wind is blowing toward home plate at 5 mph or faster at first pitch, the under has won a 7% ROI since 2005.

That number is based on the closing total, which means the win rate is likely slightly higher, depending on when you bought in.
