The Atlantic Coast Conference has outperformed the March Madness betting market yet again.

With the performances of Duke, UNC, NC State and Clemson, the ACC has now gone 29-11 against the spread (ATS) over the last three tournaments, the best out of any conference in the land.

If you had bet $100 on every ACC spread since the 2022 NCAA Tournament, you'd be up $1,530 — the most in the country.

The ACC has four teams in the Sweet 16, the most out of any conference.

Duke, UNC and Clemson are a combined 6-0 straight up and against the spread. NC State is 2-0 straight up, of course, but 1-1 against the spread after a -6.5 line against Oakland lost by the hook with a final score of 79-73 in OT.

The only team to put up a loss was Virginia, which lost their play-in game against Colorado State.

Below are the best market prices as of Monday afternoon for each ACC team ahead of the Sweet 16.

Duke vs. Houston

UNC vs. Alabama

  • UNC -167 (BetRivers)
  • UNC -3.5 (-115) at FanDuel

NC State vs. Marquette

  • NC State +235 (FanDuel and bet365)
  • NC State +6.5 (-102) at FanDuel

Clemson vs. Arizona

Overall, teams with public backing have gone gangbusters thus far this March Madness.

"The betting public" constitutes a spread that is the most popular for a given game. For instance, for UNC vs. Alabama, the Tar Heels -3.5 was the betting public side, with a vast majority of 83% of all bettors riding on UNC to cover.

UNC won the game 85-69, covering by 12 points.

The public overall is 38-13 against the spread for a 75% win rate thus far this tournament. A $100 per game bettor on the public side has won $2,150 overall — an ROI of about 42%.
