The 2024-25 college basketball season tips off Nov. 4 with the UConn Huskies looking to win their third-straight title. Head coach Dan Hurley’s team would make history in the process, joining the UCLA Bruins as the only team to ever three-peat.

There was doubt Hurley would be back in Storrs over the offseason as the Los Angeles Lakers reportedly made a heavy push to poach him. However, he’s remaining in Connecticut as the Huskies at +850 are co-favorites to win the title. The Kansas Jayhawks have the same odds, while the Duke Blue Devils are just behind them at +900.

Any of those three teams winning it all would be disastrous for the books as they rank in the top three in both ticket percentage and handle. Duke owns 13.1% of all tickets, with UConn having 11.1% and Kansas 9.8%. Meanwhile, the Blue Devils boast 15.6% of the handle, while the Huskies have 14.3% and Kansas 8.6%.

Additionally, those three teams have seen the biggest line movement from when the odds opened until now. UConn went from +1200 to +850, while Kansas moved from +1100 to +850 and Duke from +1100 to +900.

The books would love anyone other than those three to win the title. The schools with the best odds to win it all behind them are the Alabama Crimson Tide (+1200), Houston Cougars (+1500) and Gonzaga Bulldogs (+1700).
