At the start of the week, the story in college football — as it relates to weather, at least — was Hurricane Delta. Several games were seeing tanking totals by Tuesday as a result of the hurricane's path.
As we've reached game day, though, Delta — which has been downgraded to a Tropical Storm — is playing less of a role than I think many were expecting.
The most impacted games have been either canceled or moved, and those in the surrounding area are seeing a smaller wind implication than was initially forecasted.
Alabama vs. Ole Miss, for example, was projected to be facing 13 mph winds just a few days ago. That's now down to a projected average of just 5 mph.
However, wind should not be removed from your college football betting radar entirely today. Whether it be as a result of Delta or an otherwise windy forecast, there are still a few scheduled games with forecasts worth noting if you're interested in profitable betting trends.
To be more specific on that trend: Since 2005 (the beginning of our database), college football games played in average wind speeds of at least 13 mph have hit the under at a 57% clip, going 546-417-34 at the closing number.
Below you'll find the remaining matchups still reaching that wind threshold, alongside an open-to-current over/under comparison.
