NFL Week 17 concludes with the Cleveland Browns taking on the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday Night Football.
In what is expected to be Ben Roethlisberger's final game in front of the Steelers faithful at Heinz Field, the Steelers are 3-point favorites over the Browns based on the very latest NFL odds.
While Pittsburgh being a field-goal favorite at home against Cleveland doesn't seem all that crazy, the line movement we've seen for Monday Night Football thus far certainly is.
Let's take a look at where the Browns vs. Steelers spread opened and what's behind the significant movement ahead of tonight's matchup.
Updated Browns vs. Steelers Odds
The Browns opened at -3 at DraftKings Sportsbook early last week and this number actually ticked up to Cleveland -3.5 multiple times since, including as recently as Sunday night.
But in the last 18 hours, the line has swung almost a full touchdown since the Browns were eliminated from the postseason.
The Action Network's NFL public betting data is reporting 69% of the spread tickets and 95% of the money has come in Pittsburgh to this point, driving the line up to -3 at most sportsbooks.
The reasoning behind the one-sided action is still unclear, but whatever it is, there are enough bettors bullish on Big Ben and Co. to force a significant adjustment to Monday Night Football odds.
The key question now is whether Cleveland buyback is waiting should this number drift to +3.5, or even at the current line of +3, between now and kick off.
