The Los Angeles Chargers had no problem moving the ball down the field against the ArizonaCardinals.

The problem is they couldn’t punch it in.

The Bolts settled for five Cameron Dicker field goals to account for all their scoring on the night. Meanwhile, the Arizona Cardinals didn’t attempt a field goal all game before lining up for a game-winning kick at the buzzer. Chad Ryland came through, booting a 32-yarder as time expired for Arizona to upset the Chargers, 17-15.

It was a particularly annoying outcome for the public, who backed Los Angeles straight up and against the spread. DraftKings charted 70% of all bets and money on the Chargers laying a single point. Backers figured they’d settle for a frustrating push after the Bolts took a 15-14 lead with 1:54 remaining before the painful ending. At the same time, 62% of tickets and 61% of the handle was on the Chargers' moneyline at -115.

The outcome wasn’t the only painful result for the public. They also loved an over of 44 with 68% of all bets and a whopping 80% of the money. The total never came close thanks to the Bolts’ inability to find the end zone.

It shouldn’t be a shocking result, though, as Justin Herbert’s been the most profitable quarterback to the under over the past two seasons. It’s now 15-4 with Herbert at the helm following Monday night’s low-scoring affair.
