Throughout most of the day the betting market remained eerily quiet regarding the Kansas City Chiefs-Los Angeles Rams (8:15 p.m. ET, ESPN) Monday Night Football matchup.
However, at approximately 3:35 p.m. ET, sportsbooks began adjusting their vig to account for Rams money hitting the market.
For example, the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook jumped from Los Angeles -3 (-110) to -3 (-120).
Pinnacle, a market-setting sportsbook that takes high-limit wagers, made the move to Rams -3.5 at approximately 3:50 p.m. ET, the first shop to do so.
Los Angeles was a 2.5-point favorite when the game was expected to be played on a neutral field in Mexico City, so it is reasonable to assume bettors are finding value with Rams -3 on their home field.
This game's historically high over/under has been stuck at 63 since early Friday afternoon as wiseguys have stayed off this total over the past few days.
At the time of writing, 69% of spread tickets are taking the Chiefs while 61% of bets on the total have come down on the over (you can find live betting data here).
