The Dallas Cowboys (5-8) and Carolina Panthers (3-10) will face off in NFL Week 15. Kickoff is set for in 1 p.m. ET from Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte. The game will be broadcast live on FOX.
The Panthers are favored by 2.5 points with the game total set at 43 points scored. The Panthers are -150 favorites to win outright, while the Cowboys are +125 to pull off the upset.
The Panthers lost 22-16 to the Eagles last week and have dropped three straight games. Despite the losses, Bryce Young is playing the best football of his career and Carolina has covered the spread in those three defeats. The Cowboys lost 27-20 last week to the Bengals. Cooper Rush has struggled of late, but Rico Dowdle has run for 243 yards in the Cowboys’ last two games.

Cowboys vs. Panthers NFL Week 15 Preview
The Panthers have quietly covered the spread in five straight games and are playing really well.
There are teams late in the season that you look at and don’t feel like you can trust. I don’t think the Panthers are one of those bottom-feeders this season. This seems like a team that you’ll be able to trust down the stretch.
The Panthers have lost three straight, but they’ve covered the spread in all three and could have won the last two. They lost to the Buccaneers in overtime, and the loss in Philly last week easily could have been a win. I think this team is undervalued.
That being said, I wouldn’t play Panthers -3. My bet here will be on Panthers -2.5, up to -125. I’m OK with paying an extra five cents to get below the field goal.
This is an awful spot for the Cowboys. They had won two straight games and needed a win to have any semblance of hope for the rest of the season, and then they lose a heartbreaker to the Bengals. I could see them being flat here.
The Cowboys offense has looked better in recent weeks against the Commanders, Giants and Bengals, but none of those defenses are good.
Dallas could continue running the ball well, but the Panthers are going to make the Cowboys beat them by throwing the ball down the field.
Cooper Rush is 40th out of 40 qualified quarterbacks in Pro Football Focus’ grades since taking over as the Cowboys’ starting quarterback. He has seven touchdowns to three interceptions, but he only has three big-time throws to eight turnover-worthy plays, according to PFF.
Rush is going to give the Panthers defense chances to make plays. I can almost guarantee you that he’ll throw an interception here.
Bryce Young has been fantastic of late playing behind a Panthers offensive line that is one of the best in the NFL at pass protection. The Cowboys’ main defensive strength is putting pressure on the opposing quarterback, so this matchup bodes well for Carolina.
Overall, it’s not a great matchup for Dallas and it comes in a bad spot. I’ll play Carolina at -2.5 up to -125.
My Pick: Panthers -2.5
