Caleb Williams had been the Offensive Rookie of the Year favorite from the second the Bears drafted him with the No. 1 pick.

That’s no longer the case after a pair of duds to start his career, including Sunday night’s primetime stinker in front of a national audience.

Marvin Harrison Jr. is now the favorite at +250 according to DraftKings while Williams is tied with Jayden Daniels at +275. Malik Nabers (+950) and Xavier Worthy (+1200) round out the top five.

To say Williams' career has gotten off to a slow start would be an understatement. He's just 37-for-66 for 267 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions over his first two games.

Williams completed 14-of-29 attempts for just 93 yards with no touchdowns for a 55.7 passer in Week 1 against the Titans. Additionally, he was just 23-of-37 for 174 yards and two picks for a 51.0 passer rating. Another blight on Williams’ resume is that he’s taken some awful sacks in both games in which he spun around trying to make a play only to lose significant yardage.

The Williams hype was off the charts heading into the year. He wasn’t only a heavy favorite to win Rookie of the Year at +140, but also 40-1 to win MVP. That was better than any rookie over the past 15 years. Saquon Barkley previously had the lowest odds at 66-1 in 2018. Additionally, Williams was the most popular quarterback to go over his total passing yards with 83% of the public backing it

However, Harrison is all the evidence you need about how quickly Rookie of the Year odds can change from week to week. His odds sat at +850 after a disappointing debut in which he caught just one pass for four yards. Then he balled out in Week 2 against the Rams, catching four passes for 130 yards and two touchdowns. Both scores were impressive with the first a 23-yard, two-tapping snare in the back of the end zone while the second was a 60-yard catch-and-run.

Then there’s Daniels, who’s played well as he has the Commanders off to a 1-1 start. He’s completed 40-of-53 passes (75.5%) but has yet to throw a touchdown. On the other hand, he’s yet to throw an interception, either. Daniels has been electric on the ground, though, carrying the ball 26 times for 132 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
