Rams vs. Eagles Player Props
When it comes to Rams anytime touchdown scorers, you can’t look past Kyren Williams.
It’s an interesting matchup for the running back. With reports of snow, you’d expect an uptick in usage, but after the Eagles managed to do a decent job against the Packers' ground game, you might be slightly less confident in backing Williams to have a big game, especially with the spread indicating that the Rams are expecting to be playing from behind.
However, Williams has racked up 17 touchdowns in as many games this season and he should be backed to score, especially when his odds to find the end zone are rarely this close to even money.
He’s scored seven in his past seven, including a Week 12 defeat to this same Eagles team. Last week, he caught his third receiving touchdown of the season, showing the team is looking to get the ball into his hands however possible.
Across the season, we’ve seen Matthew Stafford attempt 544 passes (an average of 34 per game). While we have to accept that is skewed by a couple of games in which he threw 44+ times, it shows that he’s not afraid to sling it when needed, especially with Puka Nacua playing at such a high level.
The last time Stafford threw Over 32.5 times was against this same opposition in Week 12, when he had 36 pass attempts.
The Eagles are favored to win, and if they build up a strong lead, then we’ll likely see Stafford try and move the chains through the air.
Saquon Barkley, as always, will take the attention on this Eagles offense, but let’s not forget about Jalen Hurts and how effective he can be as a rusher.
Hurts averaged 41 rushing yards per game this season and scored 14 touchdowns. He’s covered 38.5 rushing yards in three of his last four games, with the only exception being last week against Green Bay when he managed 36.
Given that's he's not far removed from missing time with a concussion, it’s perhaps understandable why he only rushed six times. Overall, this is a number he’s covered eight times in total, seven of those coming since Week 9 and covering it against the Rams in Week 12.
Given the success the Rams' pass rush had in attacking Sam Darnold last week, there’s an increased chance we see Hurts needing to extend plays with his legs.
It’s been a difficult season for Dallas Goedert, who has missed seven games across two spells, but he’s primed for a very good Sunday.
His receptions line stands at 3.5, and we’re taking the Over, with that landing in seven of 11 games this season, including four of his last five, one of which was a four-catch game against the Rams in Week 12.
The reason for optimism around Goedert is the Rams’ struggles against tight ends, a constant weakness of theirs. In 17 regular season games, the Rams gave up the fourth-most yardage to TEs with an average of 64.7 yards per game and were tied for the second-most receptions allowed per game (6.2).
Goedert could be a key part of getting the Eagles offense up the field on Sunday, operating as a safety valve for Hurts when the Rams' pass rush gets through.
