After losing a ton of money on the under on a "meaningless" touchdown in the Cardinals vs. Rams game on Sunday, I could barely pick myself off the floor. That meant not having a call for the Sunday Night Football game between the Chargers and 49ers.

But I got up this morning ready to go for Commanders vs. Eagles.

I thought that because the Eagles are 8-0 and Commanders are 4-5, the public would be more willing to bet heavily on Philadelphia to cover. Even over the key number of -10.

But from the numbers we got from BetMGM on Monday, that does not appear to be the case. At Eagles -11, the money is equal on both sides to cover.

But that's not the line you should target. Nor should it be on any full game pick.

The Eagles are incredible in the first half.

In the first half this year, they are 7-1 against the spread (ATS) and score an average of 19 points.

The Commanders, on the other hand, are among the worst teams in the NFL during the first half, going 3-6 ATS. They've scored an average of six points in the first half, having scored three or fewer in four of their games.

Eagles -7 (-115) for the first half is my move with BetMGM. If the game starts slow — or the Commanders score first — I'm all for ripping on the live line. Especially if the Eagles' first half spread dips below that key number of -7.
